Officer Justin Barrett, another shining light of intelligence and decency of the Cambridge Police Department, has been suspended for writing an e-mail in which he refers to Professor Gates as a jungle monkey and suggested that a female writer for the Boston Globe would be better suited serving him coffee and donuts on Sundays.
