Eric Kleefeld at Talking Points Memo offers a good look at Senator Jim DeMint's comments that President Obama has "lowered the discourse" with "false personal attacks."

Of course, if Jim DeMint thinks that Obama's lowered the discourse, what does he call this?

"[America is] about where Germany was before World War II where they became a social democracy. You still had votes but the votes were just power grabs like you see in Iran, and other places in South America, like Chavez is running down in Venezuela."

Nothing like high-brow discourse, eh Senator?
